For the first time since its founding (June 2005) The Gothic Embrace has decided to open its hall to those seeking membership to a guild of strong players, loyal friends and helpful people. In the past we have usually recruited only by meeting grouped players in various parts of the game or through previous friendships. However as the number of members in other guilds expands some of ours left the game, guildless people were harder to find and our old way of gathering new members became less efficient. And that is why you are now reading this post.

The Gothic Embrace is primarily a PVE guild. Although we do have some members than enjoy PVP, we do not formally as a guild. We have 30 members and 9 officiers (including leader) with 26 members logging in within the last week. (at the time of this posting) Most of our members are in the EST (GMT-5) and CST (GMT-6) timezones with a few in Austrailia and Europe and are between the ages of 17-40+ (average mid 20s). As with alot guilds we have players of different levels of play from Title Hunters and Hard Moders to Casual Players.

We also have a ventrilo server that aids in communication. Our members are by no means required to use it but it is a tool that is available for use. In my opinion talking to my friends on Vent is one of the coolest parts of [Goth].

We are also a Kurzick guild. We do like to AB on occasion, but we do not faction farm nor require faction donation.

What we would look for in a member is an active mature player (preferable 18+ but that is negotiable). Someone that is respectful of others but not so uptight as to not have a sense of humor. You can be a new player or an old player. In another words, We don't expect you to be a veteran player, but we would like you to be a competent person. Also one thing we would ask of you is to make an effort to get to know your guildmates. It will make it easier for us to get to know you.

Another great factor about this guild we look for people to join us as friends more than just members. We all come from vast backgrounds and all have a good time. I have been in this guild for about 2 years and it has been one of the best times I have had on an online game. When we look for new memebers, we try to look for players that would fit good with us not just to simply pad our numbers.
